please help - color for bm dresses

Hi, I'm having a hard time deciding what color to choose for my bm dresses. I had champagne in mind, but not sure if that will photograph well or wash them out in their skintone.. This is for a Sept wedding, any color suggestions for the bm dresses & overall color scheme would be greatly appreciated!

I have heard that champagne does wash girls out in pics.. so, it may be a good color to avoid. I love like a warm orange color for Sept- and have been seeing a lot more of it in mags, etc.

I love brown with a pastel, like brown and baby blue or brown and pink.

What is the coloring of your BMs? I think champagne is beautiful in theory but as someone who is 100% Irish (and 100% transparent), I can tell you that it is NOT a good color for anyone with even slightly fair skin.

IMO, I think darker colors are usually better, because they tend to look better with all skin types. I got married in October and my girls wore a deep wine color and it was stunning on all of them!!!

You can do ANY color in Sept. - You can go summery, or w/ more fall hues. -
If you have a completely open mind, start looking at gowns and see what you think would look good on your girls -
Also keep in mind the number of girls. - I really LOVED Red, but I wasn't comfortable w/ the way a BP of 7 girls looked in Red. - JMO So i'm doing black gowns (which many think is a no no) w/ Red flowers........
OR, you can decide on what flowersyou like and go from there w/ the BM gowns.........

I'm only having three girls, including MOH. Two of the three have pretty fair skin, so maybe champagne is a no-no. I had thought of red, but wasn't sure if it would be too drastic, know what I mean? Then use the red w/ champagne as the overall colors. not sure...thanks for sharing the pics

My advice is to pick the dress first then choose from the color options.

I practically lost sleep thinking black no, cranberry no, celadon no .....

Once I picked the dress it was a lot easier to choose a color.
Put it this way I thought I was set on a spaghetti strap dress in wine and wound up with a strap less in gray.

I am doing champagne for my bridesmaids dresses and all of the girls look great in it!! Go with the color that you love the most and would be the happiest with!!

Champagne is pretty, so far I havent seen any pics of a bridal party that looked bad with all skin tones wearing champagne.
sept. is a beautiful month, not too hot so you can go with any dress style and color.
lets see if i had a sept wedding what would I look at- Navys, def chocolate with pink- it is soooooooo pretty, apricot ( most will still be tan from the summer) and you can use champagne and pink color roses mixed in with apricot dresses,its soooo pretty, celedon is also very soft and pretty if you want soft colors.

I was in 2 bridal parties with champagne and everyone, light skinned included looked great.

I love the color and would choose it if my sister and bfriend didnt use it... i'm looking into a deeper color champagne.... here are some pics of colors that are a darker than champagne.

I am not sure if this will help you - but here is a picture of all my bridesmaids. They all had champagne dresses - and all the girls had different tones to their skin.

I liked the champagne color, and I then was able to have the orange colored roses for their bouquets that I wanted.

I love champagne- I am having my bms wear champagne- it is so elegant and classy, and I have seen girls photograph beautifully wearing it, just as long as you go with bold colored flowers. Might I also suggest brown for september?
