please help: dress distress
Ok, I went for my 2nd fitting yesterday and the dress fits me just right, IMO.
The back is lace-up and it closes up a little close (it doesn't leave too much space to see skin through). I am worried that in a few weeks, if I lose more weight, that the back sides will be too close together. I weigh 125 pounds, so even 6-7 pounds will make a difference.
I was told I was picking the dress up on the 29th, after it is pressed. BUT, the lady said I wouldn't be trying it on again, just picking it up. They are a little nasty there, and I always feel rushed, too.
My question is, is this usual? I thought we tried on our dress up to a few days before the wedding to make sure it looks right. Don't some brides lose weight last minute? Can't last minute alterations be done, if necessary? Can someone please tell me when they did, or plan to, have their last fitting?
