Hello girls. I need some help. My sister thinks she will be getting engaged very soon. I would like to get her or make her an extremely special engagement gift (being she was so wonderful to me for my wedding). Do you girls have any unique, special ideas. I will probably give her cash too to put toward her wedding fund, but I wanted something special and memorable to make her or buy for her. Please help me.

My friend bought me a frame that has my Fi & my name on it with the vows. It was just a little somthing. But, beleive me I cried when I saw it! It was unique & I can't wait till the day I can put a wedding photo in it!
Maybe you could put together an album of her and her FH. Maybe have FH write something on how he knew she was the one, have any special family members write short notes, etc.
Leave some pages at the end for her to fill in with the engagement party, shower, wedding pics, etc.
My FSIL's sister did this for her - it was BEAUTIFUL!

why don't you make her a custom wedding planner? You can buy a really nice album, and fill it with all your different experiences for each topic - things to remember - useful tips, etx. Maybe put in a subscription to Martha weddings and any other magazines that might be helpful. A really thorough 'to do list' - maybe some contact numbers....good luck!

I love the wedding planner-because it is sooo helpful during the engagement. Also, Teri is getting a double frame and putting a childhood photo on one side and a wedding photo with her sister on the other. Tiffanys sells beautiful frames. You could have it engraved. That would bring tears to my eyes.

You could also get her her toasting glasses and have them engraved with their names & date. I'm pretty sure Things Remembered has some nice ones and they do the engraving there. We got ours at our engagement party, and it was such a nice gift... next to all the pic frames and $$$ we got.

My FSIL and FMIL made me a wonderful enagement basket. It had a white candle, a figurine of a boy proposing to a girl, a planner, an ettiqutte book, a engraved silver photo album, a subscription to Modern Bride, wedding bell cookies, and other neat stuff.
My aunt also got us special crystal toasting glasses that were gorgeous.
