Please Help!! Headpiece/veil info

I ordered my dress, which will not be in until March.

How should I go about getting a headpiece, which I need so I can get a hair trial?

The place I bought my dress doesn't have a huge selection, so I wanted to go to a place on Ave U in Brooklyn, but should I get something without seeing my dress with it??

I'm soooo confused.

Anyone NOT have a headpiece for their hair trial, but just an idea of what you wanted?

I appreciate any help.

Do you have a photo of your gown? Do you know how you are going to wear your hair? That's one of the first questions they ask you when you are looking for a headpeice.

I didn't order my headpeice from the place I ordered my gown (I didn't see any I liked). I ordered my headpeice from Sposabella in Brooklyn and my gown from Bridal Reflections in CP.

I had a picture of my gown from a magazine, but you couldn't really see the detail of the dress and I couldn't remember detail. I went with my mom and my aunt and between the all of us we all remembered a little something about the dress -- and I think I picked one that complements the gown well. And once my headpiece is in I'll go for a trial, it should be in shortly.

I do have a photo, but like yours, it doesn't really show detail.

Maybe I'll go look at my dress again at the shop where I bought it.

I was just going to suggest that and go with someone other than yourself and take a good look at the detail.

If you can....try the gown on again and bring some hair clips and try different hairstyles while you are there (if store has headpieces and veils try them on too, just so you can get ideas - even if you don't want to buy them from there) and maybe even take pictures of the detail of the gown and with the different looks. And you could always ask the sales girl her opinion. Show the picutres to your hair dresser too - it doesn't hurt to ask, he/she might know the best style.

I decided on doing my hair up like this. But I originally wanted the veil in front, but you didn't really see my face. So you really have to try different looks and see what looks good for you.

Thanks!

I recently got a postcard in the mail for a bridal expo, and the photo of the bride was EXACTLY how I want my hair.

I'm going to do my hair like that, with no headpiece & try the dress on. Then, I'll go get a tiara that matches the work on the dress.

I appreciate the help, ladies!

hey why dont you try tri county in long island you reaaly donot need to see the dress unless you have something on the dress to match like mine i have pearls on the top area of my dress so i bought a head piece with pearls in it and even the veil came with pearls sequenced in it it all depends what you want you could also try going back to the place you bought the dress

Tri county flea market is on Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown. Take Grand Central Pkwy to Wantagh Pkwy to Hempstead Turnpike East. Tri county is on the left hand side about 2 miles up the road. I'm planning totry there for my headpiece also. Good Luck.
