PLEASE HELP HUGE PROBLEM

Please help me!!!!

Ok so being as conservative as I am I invited 150 people to my wedding which is the exact # of people I budgeted to pay for (I did it this way so I wouldn’t have to scramble to come up with money to pay for extras guest and so if I came below the 150 we had extra $) I also guaranteed 125 to the hall so I wouldn’t come below my minimum.
Well i think this all backfired and this is where I desperately need your help.
My FMIL although I love her invited a lot of family that she didn’t think would come. She states her family is very unpredictable and she really has no clue who will come…helpful I know!!
Anyhow, my RSVP is 9/12 and I am only at like 90 yes. *** I am panicking. Now I also know that people don’t always respond on time etc yada yada but I am afraid a lot of these yet to responds will be no.
So, I have 4 girls from work (all married so 8 guests) I would really like to invite. I told FH I am not waiting any more I am just inviting them. I will give them the invites on Thursday. The problem is I am giving it to them 3 weeks before the RSVP and to me that is soooo tacky, they will definitely know they were B listed so do I give them the invites with an explanation like…I only invited family since were could only invite “x” amount of guests but a lot of FH family are not coming which was unaccepted which gives me the opportunity to invite some friends I didn’t think I was going to be able to invite…or should I just give it to them and say nothing.

I also take the risk of having these assumed no’s say yes and now have to pay for more people.

That is really cutting it close.....but I agree & think you should ask them. That is way below your min of 150 I believe you said. I think you will be safe.

I think you would be missing like 35 people. Is there anyway you can kinda find out if they are coming or not.?
I am sure your work girls would understand. Even though it's your RSVP date...your wedding is not until Oct so you still have a couple of weeks. I understand not wanting to wait...but better then going over budget.

3 weeks before the RSVP date is ok.

Outside of NY, people only mail invites 6 weeks before the wedding, so the RSVP would be around 3 weeks before anyway.

Have you rec'd 8 no's? If you have, then I would definitely invite them ... no risk of going over budget that way

You still have plenty of time. We have the same RSVP time frame (we're the day after) and I'm way behind you! We have to guarantee 175. I hope we keep it that way. They will keep trickling in. People you think will say yes won't come so don't worry.

I hope your right. The problem is FMIL is like well who knows you never they might surprise you and all come or they might not RSVP at all...***?? and I am not talking 10 people here I am talking like 20+

I am just going to invite these girls from work...
thats another thing i work with 30 people but i am only inviting the people i want to invite and that is that. I am going to do it quitetly as well.
