Please help- Incorporating my father in the wedding since he can't dance with me...

Long story short, my father is in a wheel-chair so I won't be able to dance w/ him at the wedding. Therefore, I will be dancing with my mother. I feel bad that my father will not be able to dance w/ me so I'm trying to think of something special to do...just not sure what...

One thing I had thought about was to have video of me and my father dancing from my sweet sixteen while I dance w/ my mother. I'm not totally crazy about this idea though...

How physically able is your dad?

I only ask this because I poked around the internet and found these. Is this something your dad could handle with some practice?

Please don't take offense to this suggestion. Of course I don't know your dad's particular situation. People in wheelchairs have different physical capabilities and if its something your dad might be able to do and you like the idea, it might work, even if its a very shortened version.

I think doing a montage at the same time you dance with your Mom would be a good idea! Pics of you and your parents etc.. with focus on your Dad.

No offense whatsoever. Thank you so much for looking. I wish he were able to even able to do that much. Unfortunately he can't... He's also a very stubborn old-fashion italian man...lol.

LOL Gotcha.

I think the video/montage is a wonderful idea. I think its the perfect option.

Or you can dance with your mom and then sit beside your dad while he watches the montage, too.

How about making a special toast to your Dad right before you dance with your mom while having the montage play in the background of you and your Dad or you can bring your Dad up in front of everyone and present him witha special gift or a poem that you wrote and have the DJ play the song that would have danced to him softly while you read your poem or letter.
