Please Help ME

We had booked our Royal Caribbean 13 day Mediterranean cruise in Feb. for our August '08 wedding. We were going to be leaving Sept 1st. FH is going to be starting nursing school that first week in Sept. We can't go anymore because he would probably fail for taking off his first 2 weeks of school. FH booked our flights through Expedia (flights were to and from Barcelona, Spain). Not a smart idea...BTW didn't know that was how he booked them. Expedia won't credit us for the flights. We have exactly one year from the month we booked the flights (Feb) to use them. We are getting married in Aug and have till Feb to use the flights! Who wants to go on a cruise to the Mediterranean in Dec (his winter break)??? I suggested canceling the flights and just losing the $2,000 and take our honeymoon the following summer. FH is totally against this. He rather take a similar cruise (destinations are so different from the original cruise..not to happy with the stops) than loose the $2,000. Plus on top of everything this new cruise that we would be taking leaves Dec 21st..WE WOULDN'T BE AROUND OUR FAMILIES FOR OUR 1ST CHRISTMAS! I told him that I rather loose the $2,000 than make that many sacrifices and spend about $8,000 on a trip I don't want to take. Both Iberia (Spain airline) and Expedia won't extend our credit. FH fought with them late last night. WHAT DO I DO? Sorry soo long..I'm so upset about this.

Re: Please Help ME

so wait after the wedding you cant go on a HM anywhere right? you have to wait until december no matter what? just trying to get all the details.

i mean the problem is that airlines are kinda strict with their policies, by any small chance did he get travelers insurance? im guessing not though. I would say to go in December, I know sometimes its hard not being with the family but im sure they'll understand and if you dont want to take a cruise just go to spain then. I am going this may to spain but i know the weather is different but my moh and a few friends went to spain for NYE a few years ago and said they had the best time, you can even just stay 1 week in spain and then go somewhere else which is what we're doing. We are doing spain and monaco. I am also flying iberia airlines and can check their policies to double check but i know most won't be that helpful. Some will extend it but not sure how far they would go.

sorry, hope you figure it out
