please help me find a photographer??

hi,
i'm an 08 bride, but i figured i'd post here to get the already-married girls. i don't post much, but i read a lot.

we haven't booked a photographer yet!!!

we met with Bret Matthews and LOVED their work, but they were too expensive!

we heard that thomas paul is great (all you girls rave about them), but when i called for an appt, they told me they're already booked for my date.

we dread going all over, meeting with photographers, etc....we got really discouraged from our Bret visit, after rescheduling work, etc, and driving 45 mins to meet with them...

we hate posed photos (although we will want a few), and are looking for a photographer who will do mostly candid, fun shots--photojournalism, i guess.

PLEASE tell me who i should go see! i HAVE to get this done asap! suffolk county would be best, but if they're good, we will travel.

thank you!!

I recommend Denise Chastain from Modern Wedding Photography. She's an amazing photojournalist and does 'natural portraits'
Check out AMJAs review, too. She used her.

How much are you looking to spend? I heard Blue Daisy does great work, but I heard they can be pricey. It really depends on what you are looking for and what your budget is. Also, if you like a photographer, maybe if you eliminate things from the package, they can work with you. I would absolutely negotiate! You never know, even if their price seems a lot, if you give your budget to the photographer, a lot of them will work with you and give you a package that fits your needs.

I used Mariann from Blue Daisy. Pictures & link to slideshow in my review. She is a photojournalist & she was AMAZING. She's in NYC but I would check her out.

We are using Sherwood Triart. You can try posting what you are looking to spend and the types of photographs you are looking for on the Vendors Helping Brides Section.

I used Bret t MAtthews and I'm sooo in love with my pictures! If there is any way to fit them in your budget, I highly recommend them!! They truly are worth EVERY penny!! Very professional and tons of fun!!! PLus you have no clue they're even there!! Just AMAZING!!!

If it really is out of your budget and theres no way to make it work, I'd have to recommend:
Imagine or Blue Daisy ( idon't know price ranges for either)

Good LUck!!

EDIT- Tons of pics in albums

I second Golden Moments. I have e-shoot photos and wedding photos in my album. Dan doesn't pose you too much and is really easy to work with. Good luck!
