I fell in love with this dress in this pic (purplish dress). It is really hard to describe the color. If anyone knows it or has something very similar, I would love to know.

If I'm looking at the right pic, it is extremely difficult to see that dress. It doesn't look purple at all

I agree with you - this looks like the dress that an 07 bride's BMs wore. Check out camerakrazie's review. Her girls wore pink, but that looks like her dresses, so maybe they come in the color you posted.
And I agree with an above poster - doesn't look like a deep purple.
ETA: Alvina Valenta 6769 is what her girls wore...here is a pic (her girls didn't have that flower):

the taffeta has that effect....could be a pomagrante or maybe eggplant color??

it does look kinda like dupioni silk....could be either. Are there ANY other pics of it from wherever you found it?
Also, realize that the color might look totally different in pics on websites or even in person...

It looks like Taffetta to me too. Check out Bill Levkoff..he has a lot of taffetta. And the colors are not the same as they look on websites!

i found the pic because someone posted on one of the fall threads but unfortunately she cannot recall from where she got the pic
But im hopefully once i get into the stores i can show it to one of the sales people and they can point me in the right direction
