Ok, so I have the most ecclectic group of BMs ever and I am having the hardest time finding a dress. They range from size 0 to size 20, from 19 years old to 40 years old and from cup size B to DD. That said, each side has a few requirements:
Me No 2 Piece All the same dress No Sleeves Navy Blue
BMs No strapless No 'line under the boobs' (that's from the big boobed girls)
Both A fairly forgiving material Not too expensive
Please HELP ME FIND A DRESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Please Help!! Need BM Dress Help!!!!
why no two piece? Just curious. I have 2 women who are a little big and were extremely hesitant to try on dresses but when I finally MADE them go, the one they found MOST flattering was the two piece. They said it didn't make them look as big as they thought.
I have a bunch saved on my other computer though I can get to you later that are Navy Blue one piece.

No offense to anyone else who is using it but I don't like 2 piece dresses at all.

i have a two piece and you don't even realize it is a two piece.
i didn't think i would want one, but it looked so nice on both my girls.
have them try some on...it might be a good option...are you opposed to everyone wearing different dresses by the same designer in the same color? that might be another option.

Why not a a line or natural waist. I have the same variety of body type in my BP and that was the most flattering. IMO...i hate the 2 piece too!

I think the best thing is really to go with 1 or 2 of your girls and let them try on dresses. I am in a VERY similar situation as you regarding the variety of shape for the girls. I let all my girls wear different dresses for that reason but if you prefer 1 dress that is up to you (after all, you are the bride ). All my girls ended up picking strapless. For my MOH, this is the first strapless dress that she has ever worn (for the same reason you mentioned) She has always worn a tank style dress with a v-neck. Although that is flattering, she wanted to try something a little different and is so happy that she did. She also originally tried on a 2 piece but ended up with a 1 piece. I am getting my girls wraps for those that are a little more self conscious of their arms and for a little bit of unity. Although I have not heard great things about the chain in general, David's Bridal has a wide vriety of sizes to try on. You might be best going there and seeing what styles will be best for all of them.

Not sure, that was their thing. I think it was something with their boobs not fitting in right. I have to go by them on that one because that's unfortunately not something I've had experience with .
ETA: the natural waist is fine but just no line directly under the boobs, like in this one (which is a shame because I really like this dress)

I would pick a color and a designer and let them pick the dress. That's what I am doing. I want them all to be different. There is nothing worse that a BM dress that doesn't fit good, and that they hate wearing!

No, I 100% want them in the same dress. Everyone has their 'thing' - this is mine.

I agree that the 2 piece is the most flattering. What about the dresses that you pick the color and everyone picks out the style that suits their body the best. Those are great also.

I had a big range of girls similar to yours and I saw the perfect dress. I saw it in navy it was one piece tank straps and it criss crossed on the top, A-line, full length it was great for a big bust and a small bust. I thought it was Bill Levkoff but I couldn't find it on his web site. I saw it at Burton's in Melville. You should check it out and let us know how you make out. GOOD LUCK!!!!

Re: Please Help!! Need BM Dress Help!!!!
I suggest you take one of the bigger sized BMs and one of the smaller sized BMs with you and try on dresses of all kinds. I didn't want two-pieces either -- was totally against them until my girls tried them on -- they looked great. I don't necessarily think a two-piece would work in your situation though.
I agree with Oct.2004bride in that you should probably be looking for an A-line gown because that will likely be the most flattering for most of the girls.
Ultimately, though it's your decision. That's why I suggest taking as FEW girls with you as possible in order to choose a gown that works for most body types. You'll probably never get them to all really love one dress so you're better off making the call yourself.
e- put up pictures of your main contenders and maybe people will have some experience with how they look on different shapes...

good idea!
Here are three that I'm thinking of, all in navy. I emailed them asking if they would possibly think of strapless if it wasn't straight across strapless (that's why there's one strapless here).
