My best friend and MOH is getting married next year. She is in NC so I haven't been able to go and help her look at dresses but she has found one and plans on buying it tomorrow. I have this crinolin someone gave to me but I didn't need but she said her dress needs one. I was gonna give her mine but haven't yet. She said that the people in the dress store have made her feel she needs to order it when she orders the dress. Is this right? Does it matter? I mean, if she buys the dress, then I send her mine and it doesn't work with her dress, would there be any reason she couldn't buy one later? Thanks for any help you can give!

I didnt! I ordered my dress and then got my crinoline off ebay! Saved a TON of money that way! Tell her not to let the sales people bully her into any purchase!!! Do what she wants! The salesperson I worked iwth told me to check with friends or whatnot because honestly you wear it once and no one can even see it! So why not pass it on to a future bride!

Re: Please help - re: Crinolins
I bought mine when I ordered my dress because my dress needed a 'hallowed hem'. It has a sheer overlay with beadwork on it so they needed to have the measurement with the slip. The bridal shop couldn't hem or alter it when it came in. It made sence at the time, but the slip was comfy and I didn't give it much thought.

Send it... it does not matter. If it doesn't work then she will have to buy one anyway. If it does work then she saved $$. Pick the dress & see if your crinoline works with it.
