Re: Please help! Re: Snow in Suffolk
If you leave in the early afternoon it should be fine. I haven't gone out yet but heard the plows earlier.

Re: Please help! Re: Snow in Suffolk
My road is clear and it NEVER is, but the furniture delivery company just called and said they were having a hard time getting to Massapequa. Did the South Shore get hit worse than the North Shore??
Where is your photographer?

Actually I heard the N shore got hit worse and that is where the photographer is. You live on the North Shore?

In Shoreham it looks like 5 inches or so... they plowed my street but I have no idea how the rest of the roads are. FH is in Ronkonkoma and they haven't plowed his street yet. good luck!

We were able to move the appt. to 2 PM, so driving a bit later probably will help. Thanks all! (Its in Setauket)

Re: Please help! Re: Snow in Suffolk
I live on the north shore in the town of Smithtown - they're usually GREAT about plowing and sanding/salting, but my mother tried to go to work this morning and slid right back down the hill (she drives an expedition.) She finally made it up to the main road, said it was messy and a little slick, but she made it to work (2 miles away).
My little brother had the ruler out already this morning - we got 7 inches.

I'm at work....it's fine out there. Just take your time. Route 25 is a lil slippery but if you go slow it will be fine

She didn't HAVE to. She's stubborn. She could've stayed home today and went in on Wednesday, but she wanted to go in anyway.
You'll be fine later. It looks like the sun is trying to peek out!

Im in Lake Grove and DH had to go to Jericho for work. He called and said the main roads are wet. A little slippery. Im thinking of maybe going to the mall (its 5 mins. away) but we will see.

Re: Please help! Re: Snow in Suffolk
I am in Dix hills and it is gross out- we got about 5 inches but the snow is wet and heavy because it's raining now. Roads look slushy.
