PLEASE HELP! Repost from BHB - My MOH's tailor butchered her dress . . .
I usually post on the BHB board, but I thought maybe someone on here could help. My MOH/sister is wearing a bridesmaid dress from David's Bridal - Style No. F1286 in blue velvet. Did anyone ever wear this dress for a wedding and still have the shawl?
The tailor she took it to was supposed to hem it, but he took FOUR INCHES off the bottom too much. My wedding is this saturday. The dress is strapless, but comes with a two-toned shawl. We could fix it if we sewed the shawl material over the screwed up part, but David's won't sell us a shawl without selling us a whole dress, which is too much money. The dress is dark blue, but it has light blue material peeking out of the top and bottom in a slit. (If you've worn it, you'll know it). If you have this BM dress hanging in your closet gathering dust, I would greatly appreciate it if you would sell me the shawl. Please help if you can!!
