FH has a huge family. We mailed out 84 invitations in total (30 were for my guests and he had 54). Almost all of my responses are in, but only 10 of his RSVPs came back. We put March 9th as the deadline, which is two weeks from Friday. I am stressing out because some of his family have said they can't come, or plan to come but they won't mail the card and it's driving me crazy!! I am worried they won't respond at all, because for my shower almost his entire family didn't RSVP. Do you think it would be too soon to start calling his family to remind them to respond? Or should I want until March 9th, and scramble for two weeks trying to get my responses before the final count is due. Please help! Thanks.

If I were you I would wait until March 9th to start calling them. But you could if your talking to any of his family mention that the RSVP cards need to be sent in soon and hopefully they will take the hint. I have a feeling this might happen to me as well and if it does I know I will be on the phone once the deadline comes.

i hear ya my rsvp is next week and im missing alot of respones so im just going t o call after the date and see what going on... most of the non responses are his side lol

For my cousins wedding, my aunt started calling people up before the RSVP date. She woudl just subtly bring it up in conversation.

Honestly I would wait until after the deadline... calling before hand may seem a bit bride-zilla like... although i totally understand where you are coming from, given your experience with the shower. i bet you'll get a lot once that date gets closer and closer. after that you'll have to start the calls. what is with people anyway??

I would wait, but we have a bigger gap between the date of RSVP and the wedding. Maybe start the day they are due. It really cant hurt to just say 'hey we havent received your response was just wondering if you are going to make it or not'
