please help - tell me your bands and/or dj's!

Please help!

I'm looking for recommendations of top bands and DJ's - we're not sure which direction we are going to go yet. If we did a DJ, we'd definitely add a little live music though.

Any recommendations are appreciated!! TIA!

We used Dr. Beat Productions for my wedding in April, and my moms 50ths surprise party 2 weeks ago. Sal & his son Mike are such a wonderful vendor to work with. The day of my wedding, they were all set up by the time I arrived, stuck to our must play/do not play list, and kept our crowd on it's feet all night long. Plus, they're an LIW vendor, and are less expensive than the more 'popular' music vendors on here.

we are using li sound. and in my opinion they were amazing!! i've been to a wedding that had them and knew then I wanted them. 3 of my friends are using them as well. all of us are using chris, the owner as our mc.

Definitely check out skyline orchestras...we are using Code Bleu and are so excited!

Fusion DL - they are both! They have live performers but they don't play over the track or play their own notes, the guys go into the track and take out whatever part is being played live so it matches perfectly & doesn't sound cheesy. I highly recommend!

You should definitely check out 'Times Square Orchestra' and 'Code Bleu'. If I were going with a DJ the only one I would have considered is Phil from 'After Hours Entertainment'

We are using Soul Play from Faze 4 Orchestras. They played at a wedding we are at and they were amazing. Code Bleu is also very good.

As far as Djs. Rob from Xtreme Soungs (www.xtremesoundsdj.com) did our engagement party and they were fantastic. If we were using a dj we would 100% use them. They played great music - We sent them a song list and they stuck to it, very professional and they are wedding Djs.

We used East Coast Band, they are absolutely amazing! They are sooo good! We were complimented the most from guests about our band, they're not cheesy at all like some other bands. They also play at bars/restaurants in the city and Long Island. Paul is a really honest guy and won't use the typical hard sell tactic and will work with you on how many pieces you want.

We used Castle Entertainment and the DJs were GREAT!!!! DH's friends weren't really dancing much, so it was me & my girls on the floor. I didn't give them a HUGE list of Must play songs, and just gave them guide lines - they did great!

Absolute Entertainment. I fell in love with them after seeing them at a showcase and knew I had to book with them. Kevin was great to work with and knew exactly what we were looking for.
