Hi! I was wondering when you start to take Lamaze or child birth class? I'm 20 weeks and a lot of people keep telling me I should start now & that the hospital should contact me? I'll be going to LIJ, has anyone taken classes there? Also has anyone taken the different ones that Babies R Us offers?

I'm 26 weeks, and my Prepared Childbirth class (Lamaze) doesn't start until 11/18. We just recently signed up for a Breastfeeding class and a Baby Care Class. They are not until November either. We will be signing up for an Infant/Child CPR class at some point too. We signed up through our OB/GYN's office. They have a list of classes you can take.

Thanks Melissa. I'll have to see if they have clases in my Drs. office. I thought the hospital is supposed to contact me.

I'm pretty sure you have to do all that on your own See if they offer classes in the hospital you will deliver at.
