I TOTALLY agree with you!!! We haven't picked out a FG dress yet, but I hope her parents don't have to pay $100+ for a dress!

If you look on ebay at sellers Butterfly something and D&D, you can get some niiiice dresses for a greaaat price.

This is my FG dress. It was $99 at Davids Bridal. Only difference is we didn't get the cardigan and the sash is in plum.

i know this might sound a little out there, but you should check out burlington coat factory. my moms friend works for their corporate and they actually have some nice dresses. and they are less than $40-you maybe able to find something since they are getting ready for easter and communion. it wouldnt hurt to look there-they dont have dresses online though. hth

I completely agree. We are waiting until closer to Easter and the time for fist communions - you might be able to find things in Department stores for cheapers. One of my FG's will be three - there is no way I am putting her in a $100 or more dress

originally, before I saw the Mori Lee dress (above), I was going to get this dress by Jordan- Bridal Elegance has it for $65:

it's adorable!!! it has an organza overlay w/ rhinestones in the pickups!!!

FYI- B.E. doesn't have a sample of the dress in the store- but I know Macy's of Manhasset does if you want to see it.

i haven't gotten my fg dresses yet but i was at tri county today and saw a few booths with fg dresses--lots of choices with prices varying from $40 - $100+ but i saw a lot of cute dresses that were in the 40 range and you can definitely bargain t get it a little cheaper, especially if you hve more than one fg

I understand where you are coming from but my FG dress was 100 but I just had to have this dress she looked so cute in it and her mom said the money was not an issue. We looked high and low because I am always looking for a bargain but the dress I just again had to have it. Her mom who is my MOH just wanted me to have what I wanted.
