I'm spending xmas with FH and his extended family for the first time (usually I'm back in NY with my family) and I just found out today that the women do something called 'speed gifts' where they get all of the other women a $3-5 gift (usually the same for everyone) and they all open them at the same time. We're leaving Sat AM to head down to his grandparents house so I have the week to shop.
I'll need 8 (i think) gifts. I originally thought of these great pearl stud earrings I got on ebay a few years ago but the only ones that might fit in my budget if I buy enough in bulk are from non-US sellers.... and they prob wouldnt arrive in time.
Any ideas of what to get and where to get it? I'm thinking maybe makeup cases? some sort of jewelry things? little jewelry boxes or frames I can paint? It will be for FH's mom, grandma, aunts, and cousins.

sephora always has a big bin with tons of miniature items which are inexpensive...they have miniature shampoo's, lipgloss, and all that sort of stuff

YuP i was just going to suggest that Denise....they have those little bins with all lipglosses and stuff...great gifts!!! Victoria Secret has similar things...they might be a little more expensive but i remember last year they had really cute victoria secret makeup or mints!!

i LOVE those things lol...i get them for myself all the time, i like having miniature things of what i have so i can carry it around with me...i even have a miniature lint brush lol

i was going to say victoria secret products or maybe go to bath & body works in the front part of the store they have little items

i was going to say bath and body works was having this sale over the weekend 5 for 25 on thier reguar size lotion and sprays but i am not sure if the sale is still on.

u can go to the dollar store and get a holiday coffee mug...then unless they have it there....run to target and hit the dollar section they have little packets of coffees and hot coco and put in the mug

wow! thanks for so many good ideas!! i'll prob head over to the mall this afternoon and look around. I know there's not much leeway in the $3-5 range but I'd like something that they might actually like that doesnt look REALLY cheap... like... here's a nail file!

I vote for Sephora too. I love all their little things. Always makes a great gift IMO.

It's funny but Walgreen's had great cheap xmas stuff this year, nice tea light holders, candy dishes, toothpick holder, all painted ceramiac for 1 and 2 dollars this year (and they were cute!!) so you can see if they have anything left.. or you can always try the Dollar Tree or the Dollar spot at target...Something nice and cheap can be nailpolish w/remover, nail files and clippers? Or a nice hair thing or a book from bargan books? Something small but usuful!
