Since you still have plenty of time before you have to mail them out, I would suggest looking into having them printed by a professional using computerized calligraphy. It is much less expensive than hand calligraphy, and much quicker too.

I vote for computerized calligraphy - mine came out beautiful and no one knew they were printed! they kept asking who I had do them.. Have You Heard in Bellmore does it really nice. I am sure all invitation stores do!

Re: please help with my envelopes
some think it's a huge faux pas... but I did it and so have a bunch of other ladies I know on here - it makes your life A LOT easier and it's sooo much cheaper than having them hand written - and keeps your sanity compared to when you write them or print them out on your own.

I did that and they looked great!
Use the ones that look a bit frosted though, The totally clear ones don't look as good!
I tired them and they look too shiny!

Re: please help with my envelopes
one thing tho - make sure your labels go on the correct way... We bought 2.5'x4' labels and if we put them on with the longest side on the vertical, it would have cost us more in postage (about 20 cents more/envelope ) ... so if you have long labels, make sure the longest side is on the horizontal... Do whatever you want with the inside labels, just watch how you put on the address label. HTH

Re: please help with my envelopes
I tried printing on my envelopes from 3 different computers before I used my MOH's printer and they finally worked. I feel your frustration! The nice thing about the clear labels is that you know they'll work..but the down side is that you cant make the address any bigger than the label size. I just really like the large calligraphy script on an envelope. People use clear labels ALL THE TIME! Dont feel guilty if thats what you end up with. But I wouldnt give up on the computer printed ones...can you hit up a few friends with good printers to practice a little?

You can't go wrong using lear labels. I used clear labels for my outer envelopes and I hand wrote the inner envelope with a calligraphy pen that is the same color as the ink on my invitations.

Re: please help with my envelopes
i really wanted to do the printed envelopes on my computer, but i dont know why its not working.. the mail merge isnt working, and i was sitting here for like 3 hrs straight trying to figure it out. i really was sooooooooo frustrated so i tried the labels and it didnt look that bad, and i almost dont care anymore...lol but i cant wait to much longer either. i want to send them out the middle to end of this month. sooooooooo, i think i might just do the labels.
