Hey everyone, I'm trying to decide what colors I want for my BMs. I'm having a winter wedding with a snowflake theme. I was thinking platinum for the girls dresses. What do you think? Other possibilities are Red and Emerald green. I like red but i feel it is overdone for winter weddings. Please give me your opinion.

what about an 'icy' blue. that's what I think goes with snowflakes. Platinum is pretty also, just wonder if it would be different enuf to stand out from your dress?

Good point about the platinum... and I love the icy blue suggestion!
I'm a Christmas freak, so I think red would be great, too. And it looks GREAT in pictures against your white dress. I'm doing wine colored dresses for November (and giving out Christmas ornaments as favors). Let us know what you decide... there's so much to do with Winter/Christmas weddings! So exciting!!!

The first thought or color that popped into my mind was also an icy blue. IMO I don't know if the platinum color will allow your dress to stand out in pics.

I'm doing the same thing.
I was thinking of doing platinum for something different but, my mom talked me into the red color for the same reason.
Another nice color would be black with red flowers.

The first color that popped into my head also was icy blue. I think that would be very nice with your snowflake theme.

I did a shimmery charcoal grey...that would probably look beautiful against your snowflake theme...I was a March bride.

I used a lot of white and blue for my wedding; navy on the BMs and lighter blue mixed with white and cream for the flowers. I did a snowflake theme as well so it was just lots of whites, blues and silvers.
ETA - I considered emerald, too; it's a pretty color to work with.

I know a lot of people aren't comfortable with it, but I love black dresses. Most people look good in black, and you can make it look really classy. Plus, you have more freedom with colors for other things like flowers, napkins, table clothes, etc ...

you could do platinum and white as your colors that would be nice
i did gold/ ivory/ reds for my winter wedding the girls wore a goldish color euro taupe from bill levkoff. i didnt want to have red/or wine dresses either for that specific reason that everyone does that.
