I am getting married on a Friday night and I know just a church ceremony would probably be a better choice because a mass would be too long, but I want to make a dedication to my brother, who passed away. Do you think it would be apprpriate to do this without having a full mass?

you can most definitely do a dedication to your brother at the ceremony. we're doing it for my dad and his mom and we're only having a 1/2 hr ceremony

I don't think it would be a problem at all - just talk to whoever is marrying you and clear it up beforehand.

We are doing a dedication for FH's brother also, I think its a great idea and they will definately do it!
