Sorry if this is too personal, but what how did you handle this during the 1st trimester? As many of you know, I have been kind of a nervous wreck. I did get good news yesterday that my levels are progressing nicely, and I have no reason to believe I am 'high risk.' Still, I am so afraid to let my husband come near me! He is getting really sensitive about it. I will be 5 weeks tomorrow and we haven't been intimate since we conceived! What do you guys think? Am I crazy?

Re: Please help...doing 'it' in the 1st trimester?
Haaaaa! I'm having the opposite problem! DH is so freaked out that I'm pregnant that he is very hesitant to be intimate with me! We just started again this week, but for a few days he was really freaked... I guess my only advice is to take your time... talk to your Dr. so he can reassure you that it's perfectly fine, and hopefully, eventually, with time, you'll start to feel more comfortable...

Your not crazy - but if it helps - it is quite safe to be intimate. I remember I was paranoid with everything too!!!

I don't think you are crazy. I would discuss your concerns with your dr. If you aren't high risk then everything should be fine. During my 1st trimester, DH and I were intimate, although I will admit not as often as before because I was exhausted and nauseas all the time. It is hard to be in the mood, when you feel like throwing up.

Do it while you can Towards the end you get so big that it's not easy to do it (my DH calls us the geriatric couple ) - there is no way to be graceful when you have an extra 40 lbs on the front of you and then you have to wait 6 weeks after the babys born too
