PLEASE HELP!!!!!!IS THERE A WAY I CAN RECOVER MY COMP FILES
i was on my laptop last night and everything was normal
i just got on now and EVERYTHING is gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
COMPLETELY all my wedding planning including all the addresses
all my pics all my word documents my wallpaper all software ive installed
everything please help

this happened me to a few months ago and i thought everything was gone. one of the girls on here suggested i bring it to the geek squad at best buy. i did that AND THEY WERE ABLE TO RECOVER MY FiLES!!! Yes it did cost $100 but it was so worth it!!! the computer is done but at least i have my wedding stuff on a disk!!!

if you know someone who works with computers they can save your files, but most likely the laptop is a gonner. but i agree...bring it to the geek squad and they should be able to get your files back.

did you try to restore your computer date to a prevoius day, that has helped me in the past.

Go to Programs > Accessories > System Restore and restore your comptuer to a previous date--and hopefully that should do it.
if this doesn't work--take it to the geek squad.

I don't know what is going on...but MY COMPUTER DID THE SAME THING!!!
i turned it on this morning and all my stuff....same as you wall paper, documents, everything was gone. It was not a pretty site this morning
My sister did a search and i have all of my stuff...but i had to SEARCH for it. it is the strangest thing.
i keep trying the system restore but it says that nothing changed in my computer and i cant restore.

Did the restore help you at all???? I really hope it did!!!! That happened to our home computer adn we lost everything.......the restore never worked and geek squad couldn't help. We had the blue screen of death Now our computers are loaded up with EVERY security thing there is!!!!

i havent even turned it back on FH is taking it to his cousin tomorrow since thats his field
