Please look at this make-up picture and tell me what you think!

I sent it to my make-up person and she thinks the eyes are too smoky and I should go more natural. When I had my trial the 'natural' make-up didn't look like me. I think I would look better like this.
Is it too dark for a wedding?

Try it out - you have nothing to lose.
JMO, if you have a funky or non traditional gown, I think you can pull it off.
If your wedding is very traditional or your gown is 'ball gownish' I don't know if this look would suit you for the day........
But don't let HER tell you what you can or can not do !! YOU have to be happy w/ your look !!

I think it looks great and since you have the same coloring as the picture, I think it would look good on you as well.

I do not think it's too dark or smokey ...

i really really like the smoky eye, and it shows up MUCH better in photographs.

The only problem I see with really smoky eyes or dark eye makeup is that at least on me, it has tendency to wind up on my face at some point, if I sweat.

Can you do a trial and see how you like it and how it holds up?

IMO.. i think it might be too much..

Have a trial it can't hurt. I tried both the smoky and natural look. The natural worked better for me, but your skin is a touch darker. It can't hurt to go for a trial!

I think it is perfect! I really like a 'smokier' look for a wedding if you have dark coloring. I think youwill look beautiful either way but for the pictures something a little more dramatic looks better.

I like it! I don't think it looks too smoky at all--I like how smoky shows up in pictures anyway!

I would definitely do the trial and see how it looks. It's gorgeous, but I'd be afraid if it would end up looking like racoon eyes by the end of the night.

I think you should go for it. Smokey eyes happen to look good on me and that's the exact look that I want to go for. That natural look is horrendous on me. I would do a trial and see how it holds up. The makeup does tend to bleed a bit, but its nothing some blotting papers cant take care of. You can pick some of those up at sephora.

I think that that picture is dark to begin with... I like smokey eyes, and I think it would look nice on you.

Definitely give it a try, Julz .. I love the smoky eyes look and I totally think you can pull it off.

I went for more DRAMATIC eye makeup myself - I actually had Jillian do more with my eyes on my wedding than she had at my trial, also because I thought the trial was too 'natural' for me. Since I tend to wear a lot of eye makeup in my everyday life, I thought it a 'heavier' eye looked more like me.

Though I wound up with a lot of eye makeup on, including full false lashes, it never smudged all day or ran (even after a lot of crying , mind you!)
