Please Lucifer....give me strength not to strangle FH
and i mean Lucifier...cause after i am done with him, the devil will certainly want me to side next to him in hell.
we got the contract for our lease, and it was sent to my office. there were a few things that i wasn't 100% comfortable with, and i want to make sure it's changed. (just probably a technicality, as it's one of those pre-made leases, and the landlord just wanted to show us what it looks like, but knows things will be changed when we sit down.)
well i call FH, since he's the one that had the landlord fax it to me, and mention the things i didn't like. he seems to not give a flying fuk about it. keeps saying 'Well i don't understand any of that lease stuff and lingo' i start to get PO'd cause he thinks that he doesn't have to LEARN about any of this stuff. so i say 'Well you need to look at this too and learn it.' he responds with attitude and says 'well you can look at it, i won't understand it. why should i have to learn?'
needless to say i flipped out, cause i deal with paying the bills , handling wedding crap, did the searching for the apartment, and deal with all kinds of shiiit....and he can't act like he cares about the apt. that WE are renting?? its HIS day off, so i thought he could call the landlord about it.
i wound up hanging up on him saying 'I guess I'LL call cause it won't get done.'
seriously---i just want to beat him senseless right now.

Girl I feel ya! But, we are the women and men are just incapable of handling shiit on their own...its unfortunate but it is what it is...take a deep breath!!!

LOL my fh is like this all the time. I've resigned myself to knowing I will have to handle all the big stuff like getting a mortgage, paying the house bills, investments etc. Sometimes it ***** but honestly I'd rather do it myself than have him screw it up.

Oh Boy, time for a conversation? I'm so sorry that you are having to deal with EVERYTHING. Does he know how overwhelmed you feel? I know with my FH I have to be VERY specific about what I need. YOU are going to do THIS! THIS is your JOB!
Your FH sound like he is being selfish and I'm sorry that you have to deal with that. I know that I can be selfish myself from time to time. It's hard. I hope you guys can work it out.

OMG I wanted to strangle my FH the other night too!!!! We were arguing about the meaing of an A and B List and he was too STUBBORN to listen to my mom and I and had to do it his way which was TOTALLY wrong and confusing for everyone else! (yes we were arguing about an A and B list, can't you believe that) I thought that was so selfish of him, you should have seen how he tried to argue his point when he was so obviously wrong and wouldn't just break down and make the list the RIGHT way. He was putting people that he knew wouldn't show but was going to invite as 'bs' when they are really 'As' because you are sending an invite to them, but whatever the arguement was, needless to say, I'm with you, I pray I won't strangle him before the wedding!!! Or else..i'll be amrrying myself lol.

yeessssss... FH's attempt to wiggle out of responsibilites. Mine isn't argumentative, he just whines. He won't fill out paperwork.... AT ALL. I mean tax returns, DMV forms, insurance forms, contracts, leases... I always must be at least sitting next to him. Usually I also have to nag for him to do it. Same for wedding planning, the tiniest thing 'ask your sister what size the flower girl dress should be' takes 2 weeks. And he talks to his family all the time!
They're doing their best to train their FW's to replace their moms! I won't do it I tell you, I won't!!!!

I am with you!! Mine does the same stuff and if he pretends to be interested and I explain things he doesn't listen any way so he is just wasting my time, its oh so much fun!

UPDATE.....
FH just called and apologized and said that he was just being snippy and agrees that he should look at the paperwork as well, and that he'll come by my office today and read it all with me.

i should've ! nah--he just took a step back and realized it was wrong and did mention that i'm under enuff stress as it is, and he shouldn't be contributing

I feel ya! I have flipped out on FH a million times in the past month. The reason their so incompetant is their mothers fault and if we don't make them do things for themselves, we're stuck w/ their incompentency FOREVER

men- they love strong women because they know we'll handle everything! sometimes they just need a reminder that while we can do everything ourselves its important to feel like a partner NOT a mother! i'm famous for the 'i'm not your mommy' line around my house. every so often they just need a little kick in the keister! glad he came to his senses!!!
