I know this is supposed to be a happy time but this whole bridesmaid thing has become sooooooo political. I had a girl assume and practically put herself in my bridal party. Sh** hit the fan last night when I gently told her that I have too many cousins extended family etc. it was a very hard decision. She replies with 'Well I have too many bills to pay for anyway and we:ll just have to see if I can make it ! ' . She went from dying to be a bridesmaid to not even wanting to come to the wedding!

ugh that is so irritating but it definitely isn't shocking - there are so many stories like that unfortunately.

She was probably just super excited b/c she thought she'd be in your wedding party and now she's just crestfallen. If she's really that good of a friend, she'll understand and get over it in time for your wedding.

i agree... she was probably upset that she wasnt in it...
but it doesnt really excuse how she reacted.... unless shes 10 its really obnoxious to say something like that

Thanks girls! I just feel so bad because of the way she dug it in to me at the end. She had no reason to assume she was in it to begin with. Were not cloes friends we are in the same circle of friends and we were both in the same wedding party last spring. She went from texting me at least 5 times a week to ' I;ll see what I can do'. I dunno I'm just upet because I dont want to make anyone else upset! AHhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

Its a tough talk to have with someone who assumed they are in your BP. I'm sorry she reacted that way. I agree with Colleen, she was just deflated at the news and probably needed to save face. Try not to take it too personal. I'm sure she'll get over it.
