I am getting married April 23 2005, when should i start booking ihave the church and hall, but need to do evrything else. I feel lazy maybe even a little nervous is that normal?

Yeah...it's normal to feel nervous. You have time... I would suggest booking your videographer and photographer next...as soon as possible. Especially if you have one in mind...it's just better safe than sorry...JMO Good luck!

I think its NEVER too early - I thought I was early with the Church and reception Hall UNTILL I WAS TOLD OVER AND OVER AGAIN - Sorry were BOOKED..... If you want a perticular date book some vendors early - I suggest - Church, Reception Hall, Photo, Video and DJ

You have plenty of time, but that doesn't necessarily mean you should let that time pass. If there are certain vendors you know you want, you should go ahead and book, because places do start running out of availability. My suggestion would be to start thinking about the music, especially if you want a band. Then you may want to move on to the photographer. Another bonus of booking early is you may get a better price. And by the way, the nervousness is TOTALLY normal!

Im the week after you. Its so overwhelming all of the phone calls, appointments and planning but its the best feeling when you book someone and its over. And with the help of these boards you can narrow down the endless amount of vendors on here and see some who have GOOD REVIEWS FROM PAST BRIDES. go over to the brides review and see what brides have to say about who they used.

I agree, it's not too early to book your vendors. You'd be suprised at how fast some things book.
It's normal to feel nervous and 'lazy'. Sometimes I felt so overwhelmed, I did nothing at all! When that happened, I picked just one thing to do, and usually when I did that one thing, it helped me feel better, and gave me a little push to get going.

We are getting married on Sept 18 2005 and have booked Flowerfield for our reception hall, Duet for photo and video, and Rev. April for our officiant. You will definitely find the best vendors will be taken but LOOK now. Everyone on here has been great but nothing can compare to actually meeting with the vendors. Some even twice. On the second time you will see if they remember what you talked about and if they even care. My fiancee and sister went to alot of vendors together since she is getting married also. I went on the second round an my fiancee told me alot of them forgot and just seemed to go on the SALES PITCH mode.

So I absolutely agree with Wendypoo, do the research an leg work now. We are trying also to pay the vendors on a monthly basis and are finding it really helps put our mind at ease regarding the costs.

I'd suggest reception hall and photo and video first.
