I have searched and searched and always loveddddd eve of milady all because of the sequined stuff that they have very elegant but it seems a liitle over my budget since i have or will be spending a whole lot on other things and plus i think it takes wayyyy long to get that designer dress in time but actually i came across these 2 beautiful dresses that has caught my eye --maggie scottero capri royale and the other one is maggie scottero en vogue but of course that one would be in the white color -- you tell me which one you like so i can get opinions plus i have been reading on the time frame for maggie scottero's dresses and people have typed to others that it takes about 8 months--- so my other question to you girls are if i am getting married this september 30th-- 1--- i tell the people that im getting married like in july or august and 2--- will i be able to get that gown in or any gown for that matter and 3-- is there a rush shipment on top pf me saying that im getting married in august-- i dont care of speding a little more money to know im getting it rushed -- but how RUSH IS RUSHED?!?! PLEASE HELP
I don't know the delivery time frame for Maggie's, but I do love the first dress. It's very similar to my allure, which I ordered at RK Bridal (took about 2 months to come in).
ETA - the dress is much nicer on a real person - the allure models tend to be pretty trashy looking!
my dress had a similar look (pics in my album). It wasmade by Piccone and was very afordable. I just changed the waist on my dress to a Swaroski crystal one and it seriously looked like one that Anne Barge makes

Someone else here just got the second gown--I love that one. I think it's really striking.
I have heard that Maggie can be slow, but that it has to do with when the wedding is scheduled: whenever your wedding is, that's when it gets put on the sked, so you need to lie to make sure you get it sooner!

Tell me about it! I never even looked at Allure dresses before I went shopping because I thought the ads were horrible--half of the models' faces look like they're doing a porn shoot. And even the dresses look cheap in the ads. Then, I happened to see a gorgeous lace Allure dress on the rack at RK Bridal and tried it on and it became one of my final two. It's gorgeous in person, awful on the website. I don't understand Allure's marketing at all. This is the gown:
My cousin's friend had waited a year for her dress to arrive - and it arrived a few days after the wedding!!!!!!! She was very upset and thought she had given enough time for the ordered dress to arrive. She was persistent in contacting them, but they could not reassure the time of arrival. She had to buy another dress for the event. It was really a hassel.

I LOVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEE capri royale! that just came out not too long ago! i love maggie sottero's dresses! i had capri marie, its basically the same, exact the top part. I love this!! go with it!!!!!!!!!! its gorgeous and u will look stunning in it!!!
Honestly, I think ur safe if u ordered it like THIS WEEK. It says it takes about 9 months to make a BM dress. But if ur that worried, up the month, say ur getting married in July or August and when it comes in, play dumb and be like 'noooo u must have mix up the dates.' Because the crooks at the bridal salon will probably charge u an arm and a leg to rush it.
Honestly - What happened with me, is I bought Capri Marie, ordered it and everything in ivory because no stores had white. So i couldnt just buy a white dress w/o trying it on.........So I get engaged in March 2005, ordere the dress in April 2005. Skip ahead to October 2005, now I found a store witht he dress in white, tried it on, love it, hated the ivory that I had originally ordered. AND YES, they claim they started making the dress [maggie sotterro] but they STILL let me change it and at no extra cost! and here my wedding was about 9 months down the line..or less than since my wedding was July 2006. and it was even more crazy because now the order is put through Oct 2005 and it was literally in by March 2005!!!!! now that was quick!!!
So I dunno, I think you'll be safe either way, but up the date just incase!!!

I love the first one, too... but I'm partial to the second one b/c that's my dress!
I'm wearing #2 (Maggie Sottero en vogue) strapless, though, (looks much nicer) and in solid diamond white (not two toned as in the picture).
You'll never know which you like better and which looks better on you until you try them both on!
PS - I ordered my dress just over a week or two ago and I'm getting married before you... so you don't have a lot of time, but you're not too late! Also, I did not pay any rush on the order. I ordered it from Lillette's in Baldwin.
