PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Help, I'm doing my invitations tonight and have a question!

How did/will you seal your outer envelopes? With a wax seal, a flower sticker, using the envelope seal, or some other way?

Is it tacky or informal to just lick and seal? We ordered dried flower stickers, but don't like the way they look, and I'm afraid to waste envelopes and time on wax seals. What do you think? I'm not going to seal them till I have advice!

We used a sticker that had our names, but I don't see anything wrong with just licking and sealing

I just used the glue on the envelope. I've always gotten wedding invitations that way and I don't think its tacky.

I personally think that less is more. I am planning on just 'lick & seal'. Good luck

We licked, but also used 25 for $2.99 circle seals with embossed hearts on them from Staples. They looked beautiful and we got a TON of compliments!

I didn't have any glue on my envelopes!!

but I had a glue 'dispenser' that put a tacky glue (you can open and close the envelope)...its what my invite woman gave me...

nothing more...we did order seals with DH's last initial...but at the last minute I realized that it wasn't my initial yet...so I scratched that idea

edited to say...my vote goes to just lick and seal

I put a silver rose sticker. Looked great and everybody loved it - not too big, just enough!

I used the same heart seals as Mistyeyed, but instead of licking, I did seal them w/a glue stick. It worked great.

I think you're (more than) fine with just licking the envelopes. The majority of the invitations I've received are like that...I rcvd one that had the groom's lastname initial. We intend on doing wax seals...my FH is obsessed with them!
