Please, please pray for my Dad!

Hi friends,

As some of you may know, my Dad has Esophageal Cancer. Tomorrow, May 25th (also my two year wedding anniversary), my Father will go in to have surgery. He is having an esophagectomy. It is a really, really invasive surgery (more invasive then heart surgery), where they remove his esophagus and pull up his stomach to serve as an esophagus. I know, its gross. But hopefully, they can get all the cancer and save his life.

Girls, I ask that you please, please pray for my Dad. He is only 51 and my hero! Please ask the Lord to guide the surgeons hands tomorrow so my Dad can be cancer free!

This has been a very difficult year for me. I can't believe its half way over. I don't even know where it went, well I do, but I was oblivious to it.

I, in turn, pray for you all always, as my friends. I don't know what I would do with our your support. You girls are wonderful. I know I can count on you to keep us in your prayers.

Scott, I am so sorry to hear about both your parents being sick. I hope they are ok now.

Thank you all once again. I will come on and check in with you all once he is out of surgery. Just know how much I love you all and what confidence, and faith you all give me. You are all the best!

My Parents are both fine now....My mom is very strong and my dad ended up having a triple bypass. That was in 1993 I think

I am praying for you...I am also another whose father had cancer. it is such an evil hateful disease.

A lady I used to work with beat this cancer- so do not give up any hope.

Good luck--come on here to vent if you feel overwhelmed--when my aunt was very sick with cancer I felt like I didn't want to upset my family even more by talking about my fears about it--sometimes it is easier to vent this way...I will be thinking of you and your family!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I know how hard it is to watch your parents go through something like this - both my parents have had major heart surgery. I hope everything goes as smoothly as possible - your father is lucky to have such a loving daughter.
