Please post dress buying/fitting experiences at....

Paradise Bridal in Patchogue and Adrienne's in Islip. I'm ready to buy my dress and I want to pick the place that's less likely to give me problems. Thanks!

I bought my dress from Adrienne's. I had been to one other shop and found 'the dress.' But my mom convinced me to keep looking for a better price. When we got to Adrienne's, the owner asked me if I had seen any dresses that I was absolutely in love with. I described the one I had just seen, and within 15 minutes she found an almost identical dress that was about $750 less than the one I had originally seen. I ordered it on the spot, and I've gone back to try it on for my BMs and I've never had a problem with the place.....

I've got no complaints about Adrienne's, other than that I wish they'd call me and tell me my dress was in!

Good luck!!!!!

Those were the two places I had narrowed it down to also and I ended up going to Adrienne's and getting my girls dresses at Paradise.
My sister in law got her dress at Adrienne's as did a few other people I know (my FMIL got her prom dress there years ago) and everyone has had positive experiences from Adrienne's. I'm going for my first fitting in the next few weeks- they sent me a post card to tell me my dress was in so I have to call to make an appointment. Hope that helped!

SReidy - When did you order your dress? Just curious - I ordered mine in August and have been desperately seeking postcard for the past couple of weeks!

FSIL got her dress from Paradise Bridal and advised me to avoid the place at ALL costs. Her dress came in two or three sizes smaller (and 3 weeks late) and they accused her of gaining weight when it was quite the opposite, the girl did WW for months and lost alot of weight. In any case it was too late for them to reorder a dress so they had to order the fabric, which literally was being shipped from the Orient and took days and days and then the dress needed to be ripped apart and made bigger. Major kudos to the seamstress though because the dress looked amazing like it nothing had been touched!

Donna from Paradise Bridal is great. She is my neighbor and she did a terrific job with me. She knew exactly what I wanted and was soo helpful!
