Please post invitation wording!!!!! ASAP

Please please post your invitation wording! I need to finalize everything tonight and I'm having some trouble.

Do people write 'honor' or 'honour' in 'request the honor of your presence and 'favor' or 'favour' in 'the favor of a reply is requested.'

Also, our wedding is at 3pm, cocktail hour starts at 7pm and reception is from 8pm-1am (inc. VH). We're including reception info on the invitation, so I was going to put:

Reception to follow
at seven o'clock in the evening......
ETC.

But I've seen 'Cocktail reception to follow...' What do I do??? Thanks.

try verseit.com.

I didn't use traditional wording so I can't help.

Good luck!

The most formal is 'honour' of your presence - but this is only used if the ceremony is in a house of worship. If it is in the RH, then the 'pleasure of your company' is the more appropriate term etiquette-wise.

Otherwise, the 'favor' of a reply is the more traditional wording...

If you have a reception card, then you do not put 'reception to follow.' Only if the ceremony is at the RH do you say this...
