Please post on this thread so I can convince FH how wrong he is...
Ok. It is exactly 9 days before our wedding. My FH is driving me up the wall with things after the fact.
It seems as though he is upset that we did NOT get a lot of things off of our registry. At my shower some people did not adhere to the registry
He feels that I should have inserted them in the Wedding Invite. I told him a million times that this is not proper. I told him it is by word of mouth. His response is that I should stop paying attention to ettiquette and do what is logical because how are people going to know where we are registered.
Secondly, he is unsure of the status of 4 people on the list (these are friends of his) They are being iffy about coming. I told him that I need an answer ASAP so I can do the seating chart. His answer I am being a pest and that this whole wedding thing is a headache.
I want to cry!!!

He sounds stressed on one hand, but on the other hand, he has a penis, and when they have a penis, they never know what's right! It's crunch time and I think you are both feeling it. I will officially cast my vote for him being wrong though! HUGS!

Tell your FH that he is wrong. You should NOT put registry info into your wedding invite, and you need definite answers from his guests on whether or not they will be attending, unless that is, your FH is a zillionaire and doesn't care if he pays for 4 extra plates, and has a table with 4 empty chairs...

1. he couldnt control who bought off the registry(and how much people bought ) 2. no the registry doesnt go in the wedding invite(only the shower one).. but people should give you plenty of money at the wedding and you can go to the store and buy stuff off the registry and most places give you one day 10% off to complete your registry after the wedding passes
the four people on his list, put 2 at one table and 2 at another, if they dont show up it wont look too bad then

He is wrong..and it is considered rude to put your registery in the invitation...
Also you are not being a pest about needing an answer from the iffy people. If they do not come you bill be stuck paying for their plates..

It is considered in my family improper ettiqute to insert the registry info in the intive. First of all its pretty much tellin gthem YOU MUST BUY THIS... and IMHO its just tacky. If they want to buy a gift and not give you guys $$$ they would (should) ask you mom or someone else in teh family or BP where you are registered. Thats what people did for my wedding.

KYSHA Honey relax!!! I know its hard to listen to those words but please try to do so.
First off, for these 4 people (this story is bringing back some memories for me) make 2 separate seating charts. The one you give to the BM and the other you keep for yourself. If these people decide last minute to pop up, you have them penciled in already at whatever table you mentally knew to put them in. So just tell the MD to put extra chairs at so and so table when you see these people. Give another copy of these 2 seating charts to your Aunt just in case you missplace yours.
Tell him to get over the registry cards in the invites already!! You are nine days to your wedding and you CAN'T do anything about it now!!! And if you want tell him I told you this b/c I would tell Carl the same thing. Sheesh!! Wanted to add that it is a NO NO to put registry stuff with the invites. Just flat out NOOOOOO!!!

HAHAHAH, I love the penis reference, prncssrachel!
Keisha (did I spell it right?), of course, you can't put the register info in the invitation!
And, I CAN'T BELIEVE 9 DAYS BEFORE THE WEDDING THESE PEOPLE ARE STILL NOT SURE IF THEY ARE COMING! So frustrating to the bride! Obviously, you need to do the sitting chart etc! HellOOOOo!!! Very inconsiderate of those people!
I think man just don't understand the effort that goes into putting together an even like this, and can't possibly conceive of 10 million little details that need to be taken care of! we have to forgive them! What else can we do!

Sorry DH you are wrong! It's hard to admit, but this time you are. Tell DH that you cannot put the registry info in the wedding invites, aside from it being tacky, if his 4 friends are iffy about coming you'll need $$ not gifts to cover the plates of his iffy friends if they don't show!

Completely tacky to put reigstry info in the invite!! AND....how dare he tell you that you're being a pest about not knowing whether or not 4 people are coming...didn't they RSVP? You NEED to know...for final head count!

Re: Please post on this thread so I can convince FH how wrong he is...
Thank you ladies.
There is a rather large family that is invited, they still 9 DAYS BEFORE are unsure if they are coming.
It is the mother and the sister who have yet to give an answer then there is one of his co workers and the co workers wife.
He says that he will touch base with these people this weekend, I said this is too late. I would have like to know this week rather the beginning of the week as doing a seating chart is not easy.
Again he says that I am a nag and a pest

Sorry, he's wrong.
You never put registry info in the wedding invite - it can perceived as if you are asking for gifts and that's rude.
Your friends need to give you an answer. They are being inconsiderate. They should be honored that you want them to share your day with them. You don't want to give a final headcount and pay for these people and have them not show up. That could be money you use to get things off your registry
Good luck!! In 10 days this will be a distant memory!

He is mistaken. It is not proper to put the registry cards in the wedding invite. Tell him you will take some of the monetary gifts you get from the wedding and buy the things you didnt get but wanted and/or needed. But, as for the 4 people why dont you just call them and tell them you apologize for putting them on the spot but since its a sit down affair you need to do the seating and tell the hall how many are definately coming.

First off you're neither a nag or a pest.. you're his bride.
I like the idea of two charts.
Registry.. My dad put it on my STDs.. Not too sure how I feel about that.. but what am I gonna do? Point is... tacky or not, putting it on the invite does NOT mean that things he wanted would have been bought.
I consider my registry as a wish list. I wish I could have this stuff to start our lives with but i don't need anything but my husband.

You should NEVER, NEVER, NEVER put registry information in with a wedding invitation. If someone gives a gift it is just that, it is not supposed to be expected.
I loved Prncessrachales response... lol

NEVER put a registry info in a wedding invitation. TACKY Anyway, that is NOT a guarantee ppl will stick to the registry anyway. People do what the heck they want to do.
As for the 4 ppl, tell FH to get on his job, but if they are that iffy anyway, I wouldn't include them in my final count. Trust me on this one.
No headache, sounds like FH is stressed. It's funny how THEY are stressed when it's the Bride that does all the work. DH tried to pull this on me too, I let him know that HE was the headache
Kysha it will be alright, your day will be magical

Attn Kysha's FH!!!!
It is SO Improper to insert registry cards into wedding invites!! And she is not being a pest, this has been a long process consuming a lot of time, energy and $ therefore she just wants it to be smooth sailing!! The 4 iffy people needed to make up their minds it ain't fair!! Do you want to pay for the 4 people if they decided not to come after you give your final count!??
