I gave the catering hall a pic of my cake I would like. Two weeks later, someone called me saying that the cake I want would cost $3,000!!!! So now I need to find another cake.

I would ask your catering hall what they can offer you. They should have pics, if not with them, then with the baker they used. All my cakes were way too much :( So I ended up creating something from what they offered. Turned out beautiful, I LOVED it, but if I could have had what I wanted I would have had I ended up with something totally different because I could afford it.
