Please post pic of viennese hour and martini bar at JT.

Hi

I really want to add viennese hour and martini bar to our reception. We are getting marry at Jericho Terrace. Do any of the ladies that were recent past brides have any pics of the viennese hour and martini bar at JT? If so, please post pics. Also, our banquet manager is Robert. Can I negotiate the price for viennese hour and martini bar with him if I add these two extra things to the reception?

i have the ice sculpture that was part of the martini bar lol, dont know if that helps.

I also dont have any pics from my VH, i do have it on video. BUT i didnt do my VH at jt in the reception room. I asked them if i can do it in the same room as CH so this way they dont interrupt the party. It was great how they did it, when everyone walked in all the lights were off and they had red votive candles everywhere. Each thing had their own station, such as popcorn machine and given to ppl in the popcorn bags, candy apples, waffle bar, chocolate fountain, cotton candy and the dozens and dozens of other things.

VH they didnt give to me for less they did throw in chocolate fountain but shouldnt it be included lol

and martini bar i did get thrown in for free but i only got this for free right before my wedding when i was under by just a few ppl, plus i had already paid for other extras such as VH, seafood bar, extra hour on top of that.

ask them for the sculpture though bc not 100% if they all come with it. DId you get the ice sculptures included in the contract? if so then specially request this ice sculpture. I requested this one and a NY Yankees one, and they also did 3 other ones

I have ten kids and some family members does not drink so should I include them in the martini bar list or not? How do JT do this?

I get the deluxe wedding menu. I was going over it. I know it comes with 9 entrees choices. The chocolate fountain, my banquet manager throw in for free but I don't know about the ince sculpture.

Yea, he said our martini bar will come with an ice sculpture and our contract says martini bar with ice (that should be it or I will flip LOL!!)....and our BM said there is another ice sculpture for our CH. So we will get to pick out what type of sculpture it will be? When do we pick it out??

Well i am sure there were ppl well lots of ppl who didnt have any of the martini's, my MOH told me they had like 30 flavors. Not sure how it works since i didnt pay for it. So for me it wasnt by per person, they just had it and made them for whomever wanted

But then again i paid for a seafood bar per person although quite a few of my guests dont even eat seafood but nothing we could do, and same with VH, you know not everybody eats it but still got charged by every guest i have

with the martini bar you can probably minus the kids from the count but not sure. Then again i had no kids at my wedding, well just rb and fg and they left early

the best thing to do is talk to them and see what they can do for you. THey also throw something in when you book 4 or more of their house vendors, usually its a sushi station but maybe you can ask them to substitute that for a martini bar if you do book 4 or more vendors of theirs

well we specially requested just the NY yankees one, the others they just did them. But if your contract says it comes with the sculpture then you have nothing to worry about

You do your menu and all the other things anywhere from 6 weeks to 2 weeks before your wedding. They will send you a letter to set up an appointment and most get it about a month before and then you call in and set up an appt for whenever is best for you. We did it about 2-3 weeks before

Oh okay. Also, how many ice sculpture does the deluxe wedding menu comes with?

How much does JT charge for an extra hour?

just 2, but then again they threw in a few things towards the end since i was a little under so thats why i got about 5 of them. I had to guarantee 275 guests but had maybe 265 but then again right before the wedding had more so ended up being close to our minimum anyways or right on target, i dont even know lol.

I think it was also easier for them to throw things in since we had about 265-270 guests and had already added a few extra's, but then again i see so many ppl who do get something

the extra hour is about $4-6 per person, i cant remember 100%, i booked in 06 lol sorry. But i know it was that range, im thinking maybe $5 per person

Just one piece of advice, you can wait to decide on what extras you want and really think about it. Bc you can always add it later on but you cant take it off later on thats the problem. WHen we first booked i think we went a bit too crazy and thought 'do we really need all this' but we couldnt take anything off. Now i did love it on the day of dont get me wrong but dont make any quick decisions. You can even add things up until a few weeks before your wedding, see where youre at financially and then decide, if you have the extra money set aside then go for it but otherwise dont drive yourself crazy now.

Also see what they can do for you, dont pay for a martini bar now. What if lets say youll be about 10 ppl under your minimum or anywhere around that number, you can get that thrown in for free ya know and couldve saved yourself money. I had wanted to add the martini bar but thank god i didnt since in the end i got it for free

we had the martini bar and it had a shot slide ice sculpture - i dont have any pics of it though

they also threw in ice sculptures as a surprise but to be honest i thought they were hideous they were cheezy - we only wanted ONE ice sculpture and that was the shot slide - the only other ice sculpture i like is the basket with the bottles but we never asked for it b/c we didnt want to pay extra for it - of course the day of they surprise us with like the kinds of sculptures i cant stand those like hearts and it a green a light behind it i think, i tried not to look at them oh well, it was for free, maybe our guests thought it was nice? i hope so!

ummm in my album there might be pics of the VH but you really can't see much....eventually ill have pro pics in an album - i just got them yesterday and dont have time to upload any for awhile

I called recently to see if I can get a deal on VH but they said no-$15.00 per person. Still not sure if I am doing it. Depends on how many people are coming because if 240 are coming thats over 3,000 extra-for one hour. Let me know if they try to negotiate. I even offered to pay in cash to prevent tax charge-no budge.

I think you can only pay cash anyways so probably thats why they didnt go for the whole cash thing. I had to make all my payments in cash, they dont take CC's, i think only the down payment they would but thats about it, but we paid cash for that too. Otherwise every dime we gave to them was cash. My dad had asked when we booked about the CC thing and they said no

Not sure if they will come down in price with the VH. They took off a little from the seafood bar for us, but still was alot and paid $20pp, and although we added a seafood bar i thought maybe we can get a break on the VH too but no they kept it the same, and i thought with us doing a guarantee of 275 guests and adding other extras it would work but no. They can throw other things in for you though, we also had a bottle of red wine and a bottle of white wine on each table which was a nice touch, i liked how it looked.
