fyi that white one above is not a peony, its ranunculus. they are like mini peonies but dont quite open as big and fluflly and the stems are more delicate. however they do come in more colors and are available more widely throughout the year than peonies.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the peonies! But I'm looking at a September wedding, possibly a little later, and do you think I can get them out of season? How do you go about doing that?

i also love peonies and i am also planning a september wedding!

heres a flower tip - you can get nearly any flower year round because somewhere in the world its always the correct season..the thing is esp with things like peonies and tulips (although not so much anymore cause there are more year round tulips) - you'll pay a lot and the quality will not be ideal. you also have to find a really big florist that has a great relationship with their growers and distributors. a good florist can find whatever you are looking for but be prepared to pay for it. peonies are an april-may-june flower so september youre better off going with fall colored flowers - mini callas in burgundy and mango, dahlias, daisies, sunflowers.. but if you cant live without peonies you CAN get them. you just have to search for the right florist!
