Please post pics of your DIY bo'ks

I did all my DIY wedding floral in silks because of allergy as asthma issues of DH and some members of the bridal party. If you shop around and look for 'real touch' silks they should look great. They are a little more pricey but well worth it plus you will have them forever! I got a lot of compliments on mine from guests - they thought they were real until they touched them.
