I saw this cake on the cover of a Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine recently - was thinking it might be a nice look a little different - but coordinate it with our colors...light green marble, thin navy ribbon over a wide light green or white ribbon...maybe our flowers around it too...just some ideas.
What do you think?

I'm curious -- who here used fondant and who used buttercream. Sometimes it's so hard to tell, and I am definitely a buttercream fan!

we had fondant icing with yellow cake and cannoli filling and it actually tasted really good!

Thanks to all for your pix...we met with a baker this weekend and I think we're leaning toward something like this but with flowers that coordinate...and maybe some small simple dot style design and satin ribbon to go with my dress.
