I used a simple booklet program. It was all done in Microsoft word using regular 8 1/2 by 11 paper. It consists of 8 pages (not including cover)front and back. To start, open MS word and change the paper layout to landscape. Change the margins to give yourself some extra room on the sides. Then format the page to fit two columns. Each column represents a page. Printing is simple, but it can get confusing. This is the layout I used. Directions from church to reception hall(pg 8) First page - introduction (pg 1) Flip this page over and print Bridal Party (pg 2) Thank yous (pg 7) Start a new page Traditions or explanations (pg 6) Bridal party continued (pg 3) Flip this page over Ceremony (pg 4) Ceremony continued (pg 5) This will be your centerfold.
Then just design your program cover and your all done. If your a perfectionist like myself, I would recommend shaving an inch off the bottom of the paper and adjusting the settings on the paper layout. Then when it comes to assembling, the white paper wont stick out of the program. This happens because all the paper is the same size and stacking it makes the paper protrude a bit. Nto a big deal in the scheme of things. But I thought I'd mention it. I hope this all makes sense. As always, if you have any questions or need assistance, dont hesitate to fm me. Here are my programs.
1) order DIY kit from from bellaterra.net 2) use Word for the interior pages 3) cut resume paper down to 10' long with a slicer, or cutting baord (I used Kinko's) so interior pages do not stick out past cover 4) gather a few friends and assemble
First picture is the kit, and the second was our actual program...
