Please Post Who you are Using for your Invitations-and How Much?

Ok.. its time to tackle this task... I have procrastinated LONG enough!

I am looking for simple and INEXPENSIVE invitations-- either on line or from a printing shop.Who did you girls use? And how much did your invitations cost?

I need invitations with outer envelopes (w/ printed return addresses printed preferably), lined envelopes, and response cards. I am hopeing I can get about 175 invitations with all of that included for 300- 400 dollars. My total budget for invitations is about 500 and that includes postage plus I am hoping to do digital caligraphy for the outter envelope guest addresses.

Are on line invitations less expensive than printing shops in your experience?

I am doing letterpress invitations, the print shop is located in Florida but I found them on Etsy. They include all custom design work at no cost and overall they are very affordable (for letterpress).

FM me if you're interested, I have referred another bride to them and she's very happy.

etsy.com has a ton of vendors and everything is hand made.

I have had three samples from three different vendors and i am having a hard time making up my mind.

You can definitely find something no matter what price range you are looking in.

Ok I am really a tard... What exactly is letterpress? and what is the alternative to that?

Also-- I have been trying to figure out what Etsy is exactly-- I was on teh website a few days ago and couldnt quite understand how it worked.

For those girls who used Tessa.. is she a vendor on here? how could I contact her or use her website.

Letterpress is an OLD technique where a mirror image of the invite is created and inked and fed through a press, imprinting the design on a thick paper. It's usually very expensive because for EACH color, the invite needs to be fed through the press (ie, 3 colors = three times through). The invitations come out incredible though....

Here's an example (not mine though)

Ryan is my DOC too. I didn't know she makes invitations. Do you mind sharing some info on that with me? How much are they? What does she do? Do you have any pics of samples?
