I love all your monograms but can someone please explain to me what the middle letter stands for? I understand the two initials are for the first names but what is the third letter for?

Sorry, I am just so clueless and I am beginning to like monograms now...

Thanks in advance.

Last Name

Mine JVC
Jennifer V Chris

I thought that's what it may have been for but I really wasn't sure. Thanks for explaining..

This is ours - we put it on the back of our STD postcards and will use it on our invites, menus, programs, favor tags.

**Let's try this again**

Has anyone used Macromedia Fireworks for their monogram?

Illustrator... thank you

This comes out so much more clear than PowerPoint. Too bad I don't have Illustrator. I have to play around with some of my other programs.

Re: Please post your Monograms

fireworks is strictly web.. but if there is a save as feature to eps you can possibly do it. I haven't used it since i got a demo of it years ago. I don't do very much web based design.

I think power point you can save as a eps file which is a vector based (points and curves not pixels) this way its 'high' resolution and crisper for printing. Also as much as i hate this program publisher is okay doing logo's in. Its more or less how you save it afterwards for it to print well.

Other programs you can use is Quark, InDesign, most girls here use word.

Anytime you print its CMYK color and at least use 300 dpi for a photograph or image if you do a logo and if its a eps its crisper edges and is made for text.

You can print rgb colors on your home inkjet but a printer converts it to cymk for it to output ( your ink cartridges are cyan, magenta, yellow and black CMYK)

Um sorry went on about printing and files...

Thanks. I understand and you can go on about it anytime I was just thinking Fireworks because I use it along with Dreamweaver for my website and can save the files as jpg as well. I will have to play with all of them to see what works best. Thanks for your advice on printing.
