The first NYPD to be killed in the war in Iraq..not only was he an NYPD he was a friend of my brothers...and my brother is not taking it well

I heard about it on the radio this morning and it made me upset that he was on the NYPD because my brother is on the force...but then my mom told me today that he was in my brothers company in the academy..I feel so bad I had no idea my brother knew him

O god I am so sorry. I have soo many friends who are NYPD....it is soo upsetting

i heard about that i am so sorry. i heard that he is friends with a guy who is getting married at the watermill next year and it's very hard for him to continue planning his wedding after hearing this.

thats so horrible - I heard it on the news and it hurts me terrible - my Farther is an officer and i remember how scared i was when we didnt hear from him hours and hours after 911 and this also hits so close to home I will keep you all in my mind and heart

my friend Cindy is stationed with this soldier in Iraq- she is a paralegal with the 306 (that was this soldiers company) I am waiting to hear from her.

I read the father's comments about seeing the military vehicle's drive up to his house. when my brother was away, particularly while he was stationed in Fallujah, I would have nightmares about this. sometimes on the way home from work, I would be afraid to turn the corner to walk up to my house, for fear that I would see the Marine officers waiting to deliver this news.

My heart goes out to his family and his friends, including your brother Kathleen. It makes this war so much more real for many people- it is not easy news to take.
