Calls/faxes needed to Mayor Daley to save
Cosmo the Akita from death! ASK FOR THE MAYOR TO PARDON THE DOG!

On August 30, Lois Pellegrini's dog, Cosmo, bit a child in her yard. It is unclear exactly what happened since the event was not witnessed, but dog experts say that the 100 pound dog likely did not intend to harm the small child, because if he had intended harm, the child would not have been treated and released from the doctor. A behaviorist hired by the City stated that Cosmo showed no signs of aggression and put his head in her lap. Yet, Animal Control Director, Anne Kent, insists that Cosmo must be killed!

Meanwhile, the dog is sitting on Death Row at Chicago's Animal Control.

Call/email/fax and ask the Mayor to save Cosmo's life.

this is horrible!! i am so angry and sad about this situation!! i am an animal lover and i don't even want to watch the video b/c i know i'll cry!!

i just sent an e-mail to the 4 people you listed. i am also forwarding this to a few people so that they can also send e-mails. it might not work, but its worth a try!!

Thanks so much! I wrote letters too. I can't imagine how awful the dog's owner must feel. You actually see the owner on the video crying. Just heartbreaking!

Apparently the same thing happened to this yellow lab on the video. the dog nipped someone while playing and they city wanted to put the dog to sleep. The owner spent thousands to save the dog. It is just crazy!

I wrote a letter to all of those people. That is so wrong...people try to save dogs everyday and they won't even give them a second chance! grrr.this makes me so upset. well anyway i wrote them all a lovely letter pleading for Cosmo's life, that poor owner

I am a little upset b/c when I sent the e-mails, I did it requesting a Return Receipt when opened. My e-mail still has not been opened
