We chose the same tux fro all the guys, including my FH. And all of them are in a black vest and black tie. My reasoning was: if you don't know who the groom is, you shouldn't be at th ewedding. But now I'm doubting it... But I don't like anything else. Please just tell me it will look fine!

the only reason why my fh got the ivory vest and tie is because i just really like how that looks...but otherwise i would have gone with black on black...i'm a simplist.
people will know who the groom is, that's not why i picked the ivory....

Yes, it was! He wa sin his friend's wedding this past weekend, and they were all in the pinstripe, it looked great!

i personally think the groom should stand out
i would never want to wear the same thing as my bridesmaids or vice versa
buy its your wedding not mine- and if groom is OK with it- then go for it

My DH didn't want a different tux than his guys. He got the same color as them, but his jacket was just a little different (not that anyone would have noticed). It was fine, and I think you are right when you say if you don't know who the groom is, you shouldn't be at the wedding - believe me when I tell you EVERYONE will know who the groom is!

I think my DH was in the same tux as your FH-- shadow stripe it was called, I think... Anyway, he wore a silver vest and tie, the GM wore a vest that matched the tux and a black tie, and the dads wore a black vest and tie (but the pattern that matched DH's, not the GM). I thought it looked really classy. I wanted him to be in something different than the other guys (not for guests, but bc I get to be dressed up 'special' and wanted him to be as well and I also wanted him to stand out in pics and just in general).
But, if you want them all dressed the same, go for it! I think there's no problem with that and it is definitely your choice!

That's a very nice tux. I think all you will need to set the groom apart is a different boutonniere. If people aren't sure who the groom is, then that's just silly!
