Please recommend an affordable hotel in Waikiki, Hawaii

FH and I have no idea where we want to stay - it would only be one night (we have a cruise for the rest of the HM) ...

We want to stay on (or near) Waikiki beach in a hotel that's at least 4 stars.

We'll be there on Sunday 9/26 - Monday 9/27 and want to spend around $150 if possible (including taxes and whatnot)

It's not in Waikiki but I stayed at the Ala Moana in Honolulu. We stayed there b/c we needed a place for just 1 night and we wanted to be close enough to Pearl Harbor. We literally got to Hawaii at 6PM-ish, checked into the hotel and checked out the very next morning. It was much easier for us than staying in Waikiki since we were only in Honolulu to go to Pearl Harbor. It was a clean and very basic hotel..Like I said, our trip was mostly Kauai and Maui so we didn't mind staying someplace plain for 1 night.

If you don't want to stay there, I heard the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki is nice. Try looking at www.tripadvisor.com.

We stayed at the Outrigger Reef, it was definitely afforable, I forget how much. Its newly remodeled and directly on Waikiki beach. They have another Outrigger but it was more expensive.
