Please say a prayer for my brother. He is 16 and the other day went to the doctor because he had the symptoms of a urinary tract infection (rare for a teenage boy). He got the results back today and they said its worse than a urinary tract, its a severe infection and they do not know how to treat it. He has to go for an ultra sound and something may be wrong with his kidneys.

I think he goes on Friday for the test and for now he is taking Cipro...very strong. My mom is of course very worried and we are trying to down play it to him but please say a prayer. We cannot handle anymore right now. I swear, this doesnt feel like my life anymore!

He'll be FINE. This happened to my husband. EXACTLY. It went so far as them FINDING something in the ultra-sound. They had to biopsy it and it was NOTHING. There are so many glands and opportunity for infection. The Cipro will clear it up, and he may get this type of infection regularly for years to come where he'll need the antibiotic. PLEASE don't worry - he'll be FINE!!!!
