Thank you ladies... I guess, after talking with FH (who is a mess), he's in what called 'Ready Reserve'... even though you're out of the Army you are still available for active duty for a certain number of years.

His whole life is just turned upside down. Him and his GF (who is also a vet but thank God hasn't been called back...yet) just bought a house, but now that he is no longer a vet and being paid by the gov. he doesn't know how they're going to pay for the house... she has to move back home to her family which is in Cali and they both had to drop out of school... I just feel so bad for him

Oh no!

All military personnel are on 'Ready Reserve' for about 2 years after their contracts are up. FH has a 6 year contract that is up at the end of this year, so I still worry about him being called away (even though they said that he can't because he's been there twice already).

It's tough not only on the person leaving, but I think even harder for the people they are leaving behind. It's a big help to have a solid support system. I am just so sorry that their lives had to be disrupted like this.

That stinks!! I hate this war... Tired of men having to go back, this is happening to my friends and acquaintances too... These boys are exhausted!!
