Please share your BEST shower ideas!!

I am helping my MIL plan my SIL's shower. Since it will be memorial day weekend and my SIL always wanted to get married on the beach ( she was pressured into the big wedding thing) I thought it would be REALLY cute to do a summer/ beach theme. Im not sure if my MIL will go for that but please share any ideas you have!!! Summer themed or not!

i think the best thing at my shower was a honeymooned theme wishing well...we got towels, suntan lotion, underwater cameras, lingerie, travel kits, all sorts of goodies!!

Thanks!! I definitly wanted to do a 'Themed' wishing well. I feel like people get more into it if you have a theme as opposed to just saying ' wishing well' at the bottom of the invite.

What did your invitation say so that people knew it was a honeymoon theme wishing well?

A few years ago we threw a hawaii themed shower for my cousin who was honeymooning there. All the BM wore flowered tops and leis, and we gave leis out fo all the guests, had tiki torches and tiki type votive holders. THe room was decorated in luau style decor.

Overall, it turned out well, and we all got complimented on an original bridal shower!

my cousin got married in december last year. but we threw her shower in july. the theme of the shower was 'christmas in july'. we had a christmas tree and christmas lights. the favors were little mr and mrs. gingerbread men. and the invites were christmas invitations. everyone loved it. oh yeah and we all drank egg nog. and we put in the invites to wrap all the gifts in christmas paper. now looking back on it, i really liked that shower.
