Please share your budget (or an average/suggested budget)

I was originally planning my wedding a few years ago, but now I feel totally out of it and I don't know how much things cost. I want to try to set a budget BEFORE choosing vendors this time. haha.

I know the rane can be insane..like the RH can be $30pp or it can be $300pp, but please let me know either what you are working with or what you think is the normal range. For example, i completely forgot how much limos are supposed to cost. What about invitations? I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting.

We're expecting about 200 people. We'd like a Saturday night. Bridal party is 3BM and 4GM.

I used to be such an expert helping everyone, but now I feel so lost!

ETA: Can you please share like

RH: $20-25K
Photography: $5K-7K
etc

or whatever it is? It's all the little components I'm not aware of!

I'd say a sat night for 300 on Long Island..

average $150 a person before tax during peak season.

maybe $120 or so off peak

my budget is about $25,000 ..... but am getting married in the off season ... only 125 - 150 ppl

I would say that doing a wedding on a Friday night or Sunday may save you some $$$ You should look into that. Especially Sundays where a holiday falls on a Monday. Doesn't hurt to check it out.

ETA: I got quoted for June Sundays $70 pp.

Yep. We are considering the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. Or maybe a Saturday in April.

I'm just not sure anymore what all the other things cost.

For a 125 i budgeted $25k
but we are prepared for $30k

We're having around 175 people...right now our budget is at $42,000 including HM.

Ours was 35,000, now 40,000 and now (after photography) we're pushing 47,000 but that should be it!! I can't see having to add anything else to what we budgeted.

I am getting married on a Friday in August though. Other times of the year are much cheaper.

The range on a Sat night is going to depend on location and time of year. For Nov I received prices anywhere from 99.00++ - 170++

I'm thinking I will have 220 people and my budget is about $55-60k without the honeymoon

I am paying 35k- 38k for the hall depending on how many we have and then we have everything else so when we are all said and done we will be a 70k ..thank god we are getting help from family because we couldn't possibly do it on our own.

Right now after booking Church, RH, Photo, DJ, Flowers, DOC, our total is at $30,000.

After honeymoon, limos, rehersal dinner, invites, bridal party gifts and attire...we are looking at somewhere around $50,000

I am blessed to have my parents paying for the entire thing and so as of now we don't have any budget. The GCH for a Sat. evening in June starts at $300pp, but that's not the norm. I have absolutely no idea what it is for a Fri or Sun, but I saw that you have a date set for June 19th which is a Sat so I figured I'd give you those numbers. You can still have a wonderful wedding for a LOT less. I just happened to fall in love with the GCH.

But it varies a lot depending on the type of RH you want, the number of people you have, band vs. dj, tall vs. short centerpieces (or no flowers at all), Fri vs. Sat vs. Sun wedding, and lots more that I can't think of at the moment.
