Please someone explain body sizes to me??

I just don't get it. I see people who 'claim' they wear clothing sizes lower than mine.

But I think they look bigger than me....

Do they lie about their size??

Or is it that different designers have different cuts?

Or am I just bigger than them?

Does anyone else experience this?? or am totally alone in this one?

--I am pretty muscular, so I know for my size I do weigh a lot in muscle, but I've even had people tell me they weight 25 pounds less than me, but no way look smaller than me. I do know muscle weights more, but not that much more.

Do I just judge myself too small??

Clothing from different stores run big- for example I am a size smaller at Old Navy (one of the resons I shop there )

Also- I have been known to lie about my size when I was bigger. It made me feel better. I am very ashamed.

Im the opposite.

People always think im smaller than I am. When I say im a 10 people honestly don't believe me. I take it as a compliment these days.

I know there's lots of stores out there than sell 'sized down'. Same outfit but says a smaller size. There was a post about it here not too long ago.

There's also how clothes fit. I wear comfy stuff, but I guess I could fit into an 8 but why bother?

the reason I love Ann Taylor...I wear a smaller size there something so simple - all store should do it...lol


but really...if someone asked what size I was (or it came up in conversation) I would say both the lower size and the upper size I am...

I really believe it depends on where you get your clothes from .. or who the maker is.

But I do know what you mean .. I've experienced the same thing!
